EKG/Phlebotomy Technician Program

PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN: Our graduates will become Registered or Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Upon completion of the Program our graduates will be able to go for (Non-mandatory) internship in some of the nationally known Laboratories, and they will be ready to work in Clinics, Doctor’s Offices, Hospitals, and Laboratory, with their skills to perform venipuncture (draw blood) accurately, handling and transporting various specimens to the Laboratory, front office responsibilities, input Laboratory request into the computer database and to also download and print out Lab results, patient intake process including medical history information, and assist the physician in basic bedside laboratory testing.

EKG(telemetry) TECHNICIAN: The Program takes 6 weeks, most of our graduates go on to study Phlebotomy and become Combo EKG\Phlebotomy Technician, they will be able to secure jobs in Clinics, Doctor’s Offices, Hospitals and Laboratory, The Ekg Technician does the Electrocardiogram on patients, they put the leads on the patient’s chest and do the preliminary evaluation of the result.
Electrocardiography is one of the most important and most popular Non-invasive diagnostic test in the field of cardiovascular disease. The primary purpose is to determine the nature and cause of chest pain. By doing so, the early diagnosis of coronary heart disease can be made. Keeping in mind that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the USA and the Western World.
The objective of the EKG Technician is to be part of the diagnosis and management process of cardiac patients. Participants will learn the basic Human Anatomy and physiology and commonly used Medical Terminology and vital signs in preparation for the core course of Electrocardiography.
Phlebotomy Technician is an integral member of the laboratory team whose primary function is the collection of blood specimen from patients by venipuncture or Finger-stick procedure. This program is designed to prepare the participants as competent certified phlebotomists with full confidence ready to start new exciting career in the medical field. The participant will also develop advanced technical and social skills through an organized sequence of lectures, clinical laboratory practical, and strictly apply the knowledge of universal precautions according to OSHA guidelines of quality assurance and safety in blood collections. Also, the CPT will be able to conduct his/her self professionally, show good communication skills, ethical behavior and promote good public relations.
This program is a combination of EKG and Phlebotomy. The participant becomes a multi-skilled Tech for entry-level job in Allied Healthcare Professions. Upon completion of this EKG and Phlebotomy Technician (Combo) course, participants would acquire the basic knowledge of:

  • Recognizing major Arrhythmias: Hypertrophy, Pre-excitation, Conduction Blocks, Premature Ventricular Contraction, Premature Atrial Contraction, Arial Flutter, Atrial Fibrillation, VENTRICULAR Tachycardia, Myocardial Infarction.
